The finalists for the 2025 Galah Regional Photography Prize have been announced, and I’m thrilled to have been selected as one of the 37 finalists with my image “Harvest Impression”. This image was taken on our farm at Wolseley, during our cereal harvest.
The biennial Prize was created in 2023 to encourage excellence in contemporary photography from regional Australia and offers $27,000 in prize money.
My life and career has been in partnership with the land, it’s people and the stunning landscapes of regional Australia.
Congratulations to all the finalists, I’m looking forward to meeting the other finalists and viewing all the images at the exhibition opening night at the New England Regional Art Museum on May 2nd when the winner will be announced.
I will be attending a Professional Development workshop at the exhibition for the finalists (organised by Galah Magazine). This workshop will include sessions on developing Projects with Adam Ferguson (2024 Galah Photography Prize winner) and enhancing your media presence as a photographer with Georgie Robertson from The Regional PR & Co. Thank you to Country Arts SA for providing me with funds from the Country Arts SA Artist Professional Development fund, which supports the arts in regional and remote South Australia.
Thank you to Galah Magazine for supporting and promoting Australian Regional Photographers.
